Ericson Yachts primarily installed Palmer P60 (often referred to as M60) inboard gasoline engines during the early to mid-1970s, specifically between 1971 and 1976.Ericson utilized these 22-horsepower, 4-cylinder engines as standard auxiliary power primarily for the popular Ericson 27 and the original Ericson 32. Owner and enthusiast communities, such as the Ericson Yachts Owner Association, generally report that the P60 was phased out as Palmer left the marine engine market and Ericson began standardizing with Atomic 4 or Universal diesel engines.
