A classic yacht in the EGG HARBOR tradition "Our First Hurrah" is a second owner boat . Like most older Eggs she's in need of a little work. Always locally owned and never fished with only 690 hrs since her re-power in 1991 by PPM. There's a large salon with a galley up, two stateroom layout with  A/C and heat. Upper and lower helm stations. Electronics includes radar, chart Plotter and GPS. Her canvas is about 5 years old. Currently in dry storage, again she'll take a little work to get her back in proper shape to be bring her back to her former glory but she's a boat that's definately worth the effort!!

The Biggest Pros and Cons

The 1972 Egg Harbor 38 Convertible is a classic sportfishing boat known for its sturdy construction and timeless design. Here are some pros and cons to consider:

Pros

Solid Build Quality: Built with a robust fiberglass hull, the Egg Harbor 38 is known for its durability and seaworthiness, making it suitable for offshore fishing and cruising.

Spacious Cockpit: The large cockpit area provides ample space for fishing activities, with room for multiple anglers and easy access to gear.

Classic Convertible Layout: The convertible design offers versatility, featuring an enclosed cabin for comfort and protection from the elements, while maintaining an open flybridge for excellent visibility.

Good Storage: Plenty of storage compartments below deck and in the cockpit help keep fishing equipment and personal items organized.

Timeless Style: The classic lines and traditional styling give the boat a vintage charm that appeals to enthusiasts and collectors.

Cons

Aging Systems: Being a 1972 model, many mechanical and electrical systems may require upgrading or maintenance to meet modern standards.

Fuel Efficiency: Older engines tend to be less fuel-efficient compared to contemporary models, which can lead to higher operating costs.

Limited Modern Amenities: The boat may lack some of the modern conveniences and electronics that newer sportfishing boats offer.
