Edgewater 370CC: BoatTEST Review
Overview
The 2020 Edgewater 370 center console is a 37-foot boat offered by the Sovereign Boat Club at Loggerhead Marina in Riviera Beach, Florida. Positioned minutes from the Palm Beach Inlet and the Gulf Stream, this vessel has undergone a rigorous two-month shakedown by three experienced boat test captains to ensure readiness for club members. It is designed to deliver a blend of performance, comfort, and fishing capability.
Power and Performance
Powered by three 300-horsepower Yamaha engines, the Edgewater 370 can reach speeds up to 55 miles per hour under light load conditions, facilitating swift offshore trips for big game fishing. The boat is equipped with an autopilot system for ease of single-handed navigation, complemented by a joystick and bow thruster that simplify docking maneuvers. Its high freeboard and deep cockpit design contribute to a dry and safe ride in various sea conditions.
Fishing and Deck Features
This center console is fully rigged for serious fishing activities. It includes a 45-gallon livewell and a 70-gallon transom insulated fishbox, along with two additional fishboxes in the cockpit deck fitted with freezer plates. The fishing setup is further enhanced by 22 rod holders, twin outriggers, and a comprehensive Garmin fish finder system providing clear views from multiple angles—side, down, forward, and clear view. Behind the three-seat helm, anglers will find a bait preparation station equipped with a sink and an electric grill for convenient meal preparation.
Interior Living Spaces and Amenities
The Edgewater 370 offers comfortable accommodations suitable for family outings. It features a cabin with a berth for two, providing 6 feet 2 inches of overhead clearance and air conditioning powered by a 5kW diesel generator. For stability and comfort underway, the boat is fitted with a SeaKeeper 3 gyrostabilizer. Social and entertaining spaces include an electrically actuated table forward and ample seating. Aft, two wide bench seats fold down to provide comfortable seating for rides to fishing grounds or social gatherings.
Membership and Usage
The boat is available to Sovereign Boat Club members on a first-come, first-served basis and can be chartered either as a bare boat or with a captain. The club offers an affordable membership model, providing access to this well-equipped vessel for both fishing enthusiasts and families seeking recreational boating experiences. Additional information and booking options are available through SovereignBoatClub.com.
