2002 Edgewater 225 Center Console

Here is a review from Saltwater Sportsmen of this boat:

This 22-footer from Edgewater combines the company's now-famous level of fit-and-finish with a wealth of clever fishing features. As with previous Edgewaters we've tested, the 225 is built with rugged, no-wood construction techniques, and features exemplary glass work and detail. It's almost impossible to find a rough edge on these boats, and it's clear that a great deal of care and thought go into building them.

Edgewater uses a stringer system that its calls "Permagrid," which is essentially an interlocking grid that combines longitudinal stringers with transverse beams, creating opposing right angles. This structure is chemically bonded to the deck, the hull and the transom, after which the whole boat is injected with foam. All Edgewaters are built with either Nidacore or Klegecell coring, and the 225 has over eight layers of glass in the keel. Construction techniques like this yield a boat that's very solid.

Powered with a Yamaha 225 Four Stroke (350 hrs.)  Loaded with the following options: Garmin GPS Map 5212 with Fishfinder, Standard Horizon VHF, Clarion Stereo, Lenco Elec. Trim Tabs, Danforth Compass, Fresh & Raw Water Washdown, T-Top w/ Electronics Box and spreader lights, Outriggers w/Telescoping Poles, Folding Rear Seat, Dual Swim platform Ladders, Console and footcush pad, Stainless Steel Prop, T bag storage pouch, and rod holders, cockpit rod storage, cockpit courtesy lights, anchor locker, raw water washdown, recirculating baitwell, bow and cockpit coaming bolsters, dual batteries, hydraulic steering, console storage w/porta-potti, fresh water washdown, swim step w/boarding ladder, helm bench seat w/rod holders, Leaning post with back rest insert, SS bow rail, bow storage w/cushions, folding seat in front of console, transom wave gate.
