The Dickerson 37 is an outstanding cruiser, combining safety, structural integrity and crew comfort in a top-quality cruiser. She features a sleek hull design below the waterline and traditional lines above. Her versatile, easy to handle rig and shoal draft make her perfect for cruising Long Island Sound, the Chesapeake or the Bahamas.
Under sail she is marvelous, offering a well balanced sail plan with the versatility of a cutter. She is solid, stiff, and perfectly balanced under way.
Below decks, she is designed with crew comfort in mind. The three cabin layout offers exceptional space for a cruising couple and privacy when guests are aboard. The owners cabin is forward and boasts an oversized double vee berth, ample storage lockers, and a large hatch for natural ventilation rather than the custom built in air conditioning. Just aft is the main salon with a long bench settee and two teak arm chairs. The settee easily converts to a double berth when the teak dinette table is folded up against the bulkhead, Further aft to port is the full cruising galley with a 3 burner propane cooktop and oven and built in deep refrigerator. Further aft to port is the double quarter berth, Opposite is the navigation station with a tadeonal chart table and seat. The large head is to starboard with a vanity, shower, and manual head.
The Dickerson 37 is a very sturdy safe cruising vessel. On deck is the large cockpit with high coamings to keep you safe and comfortable. She is a safe, comfortable, able sailor with plenty of diesel power for those days when you just have get somewhere up wind, or no wind.
