"Azamara" is a unique and fabulous motoryacht designed by the Sharp/Defever naval architecture team. Designed to be a comfortable long range motoryacht with excellent, stabilized sea keeping abilities. She was constructed to meet the strict Vertas shipbuilding standards. She features 6 watertight bulkheads and an anti collision bulkhead. Construction consist of a thick hull layed up with FRP and isophtalic gelcoat below water line with Divynicell composite used above the water line. Decks are cored with balsa. 5 coats of Gelshield International applied to protect against blisters. There is Prop-speed applied to props and running gear. Foredeck teak removed, recored, and finished with non skid extending down side decks to aft deck door to eliminate water intrusion. Forward anti collision bulkhead removed and replaced in June 2013.
She is safe and comfortable at sea. Walking aboard one has the impression of a larger yacht with beautiful custom teak cabinetry throughout and tasteful appointments. Azamara successfully bridges a modern look with a classic beautiful teak interior seldom seen on yachts today. The quality of construction is evident in every detail. Her engines and generators are extremely quiet underway thanks to full soundproofing of salon floor and engine room ceiling with "soundown" insulation. Generators are virtually silent in the salon and pilot house. Fuel polished and tanks cleaned 2014. While she needs s few items to be addressed, mostly cosmetically, Azamara represents a great value for the right buyer who possesses a trained eye for value in a strong vessel.
