The "Caillou Pride" is a 57' steel-hulled former Louisiana shrimp boat converted to a live-aboard, pleasure cruising boat. She has two staterooms, a full head (with separate shower), and a deckhouse/galley with extra bunk and navigation station. She easily sleeps 5 and can accommodate up to 7. The galley provides the cook with a refrigerator, microwave, propane cook stove,double sink and ample counter space to prepare food for the crew. The large spaces make her very comfortable for extended cruising. Also a great party boat; there is space on the deck for up to 35 people. She would be great as simply a floating cottage, or for serious traveling.
She is powered by two Detroit Diesel 6-71 engines and has a comfortable cruising speed of about 7 knots. The two engines (unusual for a commercial fishing boat) and large rudders make her easy to maneuver. Fuel capacity is about 2,200 gallons, and fresh water about 1,200 gallons, which would make her a great expedition boat. You don't have to skimp on water doing dishes or in the shower.
