Simply put, the Stillwater Classic is the finest one-person stillwater fly fishing platform on the planet, period!
350 years of tried and true design, the Stillwater Classic is a flat bottom, hard chine pram design with proven initial and secondary stability. When we designed the Stillwater Classic we focused on improving the interior, creating a design for parts such as seat boxes and flotation compartments that would not hang up a fly line allowing you to have an improved experience on the water.
We've spent many hours observing other prams and fly casters to see what happens when a fly line comes off the floor of a boat. We found that when the line comes off the floor it comes straight up, but the last forward cast usually finds the fly line coming off the floor and hitting the side or stern of the pram before it comes up to the stripping guide. To avoid frustration, we have designed a fly line free interior so even our oarlock sockets are mounted upside down so they don't catch that final loop. Noted fly fisherman, Brian Chan, has used one of our prams for over 20 years. The Stillwater Classic is a perfect example of our passion to capture the "experience" of fly fishing.
