"Barbara Jean" is a ready to cruise trimaran designed by Jim Brown and launched in 1977. This vessel's Yanmar was overhauled in 2018 (150 hrs smoh) and received a bottom job a complete bottom jog 7/20 which included new shaft cutlass bearing.  She is currently on the hard awaiting your inspection. Comfortable and very fast, Barbara Jean keeps up with 40+ foot monohulls, and anchors in more protected waters because of her shallow draft.
length : 31 ft, beam: 19 ft. 6 inches, draft: 23 inches, centerboard : 5 ft. 7 inches, 41 ft bridge clearance.
The center cockpit is long enough to completely stretch out in on custom closed cell foam cushions. The dodger and bimini sytem and zip in panels keeps you dry in rough weather, and blocks the wind, or opens up in various configurations for air flow in warm weather.
Two comfortable bunks, one double and one slightly smaller with firm foam mattresses. New cushions with sunbrella fabric covering for sterncastle table seating. Sterncastle table retracts and pulls out. Lots of storage inside the boat and in dry amas or outside hulls. Roller bar to easily haul dinghy and engine aboard with large jib winch. Great deck space for suiting up to go diving.
The value of upgrades far exceeds the asking price, and this is a great island cruiser, and bluewater vessel.

The Biggest Pros and Cons
The 1977 Custom Searunner 31 Trimaran offers a unique blend of performance and versatility, making it a standout choice for multihull enthusiasts. Here are some of the key pros and cons of this classic design:
Pros
Speed and Performance: The trimaran configuration provides excellent stability and allows for impressive speed, especially in moderate to strong winds.
Shallow Draft: With its relatively shallow draft, the Searunner 31 can navigate coastal waters, bays, and shallow anchorages that many monohulls cannot access.
Spaciousness: Despite its compact length, the trimaran design offers ample deck space and comfortable accommodations, making it suitable for cruising.
Seaworthiness: Designed by Jim Brown, the Searunner series is known for solid construction and reliable handling in a variety of sea conditions.
Lightweight Construction: The 1977 model typically features a lightweight build, contributing to its agility and ease of trailering or beaching.
Cons
Complexity of Maintenance: As a trimaran, maintenance can be more involved compared to monohulls, with attention needed for three hulls and crossbeams.
Limited Storage: While spacious on deck, storage space below can be limited relative to length, requiring efficient organization for extended trips.
Crew Requirements: Handling a trimaran can sometimes demand more skill and coordination, especially when tacking or maneuvering in tight spaces.
Age-Related Wear: Being a vintage model from 1977, potential buyers should be mindful of wear and the need for updates or refurbishments to rigging, sails, and hardware.
Docking and Marina Fees: Due to its beam width, docking can be more challenging and potentially more expensive compared to monohulls of similar length.
