The JENNY M is an excellent Downeast Lobster cruiser with a proper pedigree and a new Yanmar Diesel. She has been extensively rebuilt and will provide her next owner with an opportunity to own a fine wood lobster boat that was always a family picnic blat, never worked, and which has been improved considerably under her current owner.
Herb Baum Sr. and Herb Baum Jr.,a father and son team working in Kennebunkport ME, built about 300 boats together. Some were for commercial use and some built for pleasure. The Jenny M was built for a summer family in Kennebunkport and only served as a pleasure yacht, a true picnic boat. As she was built for a wealthy family, the Baum's used only the finest materials. Silicon bronze fasteners and hardware throughout, White Oak for framing and keel, cedar planking and Honduran mahogany for the garboard planks.
