If you have been looking for a classic downeast-style boat but without all of the hassles of an antique, then look no further. This beauty was started in 2005 and christened in 2008 by the well-known Massachusetts builder Eldred-Cooper Boatworks- at a price of almost $300,000! She was custom-built in a "yachty" finish based on plans from workboats the same builder's family built in the 1900's, but with a Herreshoff-style cabin and deck, modern power, finishes, materials, etc. She's a a plank on frame design of white oak, mahogany, juniper and teak trimming.
She has spent most of her life lightly cruised on the waters around Martha's Vineyard and New England as a picnic boat.
She currently lives on a freshwater creek off of Mobile Bay in Alabama but also has a custom aluminum trailer for winter storage. A bimini top and three-sided enclosure (tired) are included in the sale, as well as all safety equipment.
She sports a low-hour 4-cylinder Yammer turbodiesel that burns around 1 GPH at slow cruise and 4.5 GPH at fast cruise, which is around 13 knots! The engine and transmission were removed this past winter for complete repaint, inspection, new water pump and anything that needed replacing was replaced. The vessel runs perfectly. Hull was also inspected and anti-fouling reapplied. No soft spots, no rot anywhere on vessel.
The captain's chair and rear seats are currently in storage but included in sale. She has a Sony stereo with speakers in cockpit, Garmin GPS, and a teak swim platform and swim ladder was added two years ago.

This beauty turns heads wherever she goes and you will not find a prettier boat anywhere. She's priced to sell immediately due to the owner moving up.
