The Imprezzi 50 "Amy Sue" represents a very different approach to offshore boating-purpose-built around speed, shallow-water capability, and expansive open living space in a way that few traditional monohulls can match. Built as a custom one-off catamaran in Florida, she combines the efficiency and stability of a twin-hull platform with the performance advantages of surface drives and serious diesel power.
Powered by twin low-hour (600) CAT C12 700HP diesel engines paired to Arneson ASD-10 surface drives, this is a vessel designed to cover water efficiently while maintaining shallow draft characteristics that open the door to destinations many larger sportfish or motor yachts simply cannot comfortably access. The Bahamas immediately come to mind, but she would also be well suited for coastal cruising, island hopping, dive operations, eco-tourism, or even a unique private charter platform.
One of the standout features of the design is the amount of usable space throughout the boat. The cockpit is exceptionally generous, with room to comfortably accommodate divers, fishing gear, water toys, or large groups of guests without feeling crowded. A secondary lower helm station in the cockpit adds practicality for docking, maneuvering, or operating while entertaining outdoors, while the flybridge helm provides excellent visibility underway.
Inside, the salon offers an open and airy feel thanks to the catamaran beam, creating a layout that feels substantially larger than many conventional 50-foot yachts. The two-stateroom, two-head arrangement provides comfortable accommodations for extended trips while still leaving ample room for entertaining or commercial-style use if desired.
From a hull design standpoint, the catamaran platform offers notable stability both underway and at anchor, making long days on the water more comfortable for owners and guests alike. Combined with the shallow-running characteristics of the Arneson drives, the boat presents an intriguing option for owners looking to explore areas where draft can become a limiting factor.
This is not a production boat designed to blend in at the marina. The Imprezzi 50 is a niche vessel with a very specific personality and mission profile-well suited for an experienced owner seeking a great value refit candidate, something capable, unconventional, and adaptable to a variety of uses. Whether envisioned as a Bahamas adventure platform, a fast support vessel, a dive boat, or a private charter operation, she offers a combination of space, performance, and utility that is difficult to duplicate in today's market.
