History: Purchased in 1976 by her second and current owner. They lived aboard from 1976 to 1984. They moved ashore in 1984 to better fit the family and stored the boat on the hard until 1994. In 1994 they moved the boat to their barn to accomplish what turned out to be a seven year, no holds barred, refit! In 2002 they left the dock and cruised full time until 2014. They cruised the world for well over 60 thousand miles of adventure!
The good news is.. She's ready to do it again!!
Her refit highlights:
- All teak decks removed, re-glassed, non skidded and repainted
- All Chinese stainless removed and replaced by upgraded U.S. stainless (Owner is a ss fabricator/ welder by trade)
- Cockpit removed and reconfigured for safe, secure passage making
- Interior was reconfigured to meet owners seagoing demand ie; custom cabinetry, Corian countertops, proper nav station, addition of tons of storage capability.
- Engine rebuilt prior to world cruise
- Custom sails fitted
- Steps added to main mast
- Main mast stripped and repainted
- Mizzen mast replaced in aluminum
- Forward cabin (small) was reconfigured as a "garage" workshop/storage area
- Systems such as watermaker and DC generator were added
- Main mast and mizzen Keelsons (mast step base) were fabricated in S/S
- Topsides, deck and hull were repainted in 2010/2012
- Brightwork refurbished and now kept "bristol"
