PRETTY LADY is a 1983 example of the CS 36. The builder, originally named Canadian Sailcraft (CS Yachts) of Ontario, Canada, was known as one of Canada’s top builders. The CS 36 was designed by Raymond Wall in the first year that he joined CS after leaving Camper and Nicholsons in England where he had for many years been the chief designer and engineer. Introduced at the Toronto Boat Show in 1978, the boat was so popular that more than a year’s worth of production was sold within 5 weeks. The CS 36 was produced from 1978 through 1987 and remains popular with sailing enthusiasts for its build quality and design aesthetics.

The CS 36 model was named the Traditional to distinguish it from the later Merlin 36 produced by CS.

PRETTY LADY is a handsome vessel with pinched reverse transom, a low, sleek cabintrunk and moderate bow overhang. She has been well-maintained and offers a good turn of speed and confidence in heavy seas. The CS 36 hull is solid fiberglass, not cored, and as such is highly regarded for construction integrity and longevity.

PRETTY LADY is being offered for sale by an attentive owner whose time for sailing has become limited. She deserves close consideration for anyone with dreams of sailing near and possibly far, and is in search of a quality-built vessel with an outstanding pedigree for cruising or racing.
