HAMMERHEAD does it all! Incredible performance, shallow draft, excellent accommodation, all in the same boat. She is a sailor's boat. Simple interior and systems maintain low overall weight and great performance.
Single and short handed sailing is easy with this trimaran. All sail controls lead to the secure midship cockpit. In ocean conditions her motion through the water is extremely comfortable. The narrow forebody can slice through waves at high speed without pounding. Downwind she is steady as a rock with minimal roll and yaw.
Safe and comfortable offshore, and more than a few very experienced sailors have declared this design as, "The best boat I've ever sailed!".
Construction:
Hulls are 100% epoxy resin/ E-glass with Western Red Cedar, CoreCell, PVC foam and Baltek cores. AwlGrip™ exterior finish with contrasting boot top. Crossbeams are uni-directional carbon fiber/epoxy construction. Decks and cabin are 3/4" Divinycell PVC foam core with tri-axial glass/epoxy skins. Uni-directional carbon fiber reinforcement is incorporated for additional strength.
Mast and boom:
AwlGrip ™ painted Type 6061 aluminum alloy.
Single swept spreader with double Navtec rod diamonds
Dyform 1x19 cap shrouds lowers and inner forestay.
All halyards are internal.
Spinnaker and jib halyard winch resides on mast. Main halyard is led to electric cockpit winch for ease of hoisting and reefing. Boom has internal reefing lines, topping lift and outhaul.
Running rigging: Dyneema halyards, Dacron sheets and control lines.
Deck Hardware: Lewmar Ocean Series # 48 AST Electric (aluminum self tailing) main sheet winch, main halyard, reefing, centerboard controls are all on the cockpit bulkhead.

Jib Roller furling:
PROFURL model NC42 jib furler with reefing line led to cockpit mounted winch. Facnor removable staysail furler with reefing line led to cockpit winch.
Anchor Handling: Dual bow anchor rollers enable 2 anchors to be used at the same time. Lofrans electric anchor windlass with rope and chain capstans. 100' 5/16"HT chain (new2025)
Self bailing locker for self stowing chain and rode.
Steering: 36" diameter Edson SS "destroyer type" wheel with 7x19 SS wire cable to rudder. Rudder is retractable to prevent grounding damage.
Epoxy/glass composite rudder blade is a high performance hydrofoil section with solid marine grade aluminum stock turning in low friction bearings.
Propulsion: Yanmar 4-JH4-TE diesel engine, 2,150 hrs, with 2.6:1 gear reduction and vibration damping mounts.
Standard, in-line, transmission allows easy access to the stuffing box (PSS shaft seal) and shaft coupling. Vibration damping Aquadrive™ 20100 thrust bearing is installed between transmission and stuffing box. Instrument panel with tachometer and engine monitoring gauges and alarms. Primary and secondary fuel filters. Raw water strainer.

A dining table in main saloon stbd side folds down to make double bunk. Long and wide seat port side can be used as extra berth. Large capacity stowage lockers beneath seats.
Galley: Port side countertop and sink with faucet. Multiple drawers, cabinets and storage bins in and over both counter areas. 3 burner propane stove with oven.
Refrigerator: SeaFrost 12 volt.
Forward Cabin: Two single bunks, each 7' long, drawers and cubbies below each berth. Large #60 Lewmar hatch for light, ventilation and deck access.

Head/Shower: Polished Scandvik SS sink with combination hot and cold faucet. Vanity with laminate top and stowage under, cabinet over sink. Airhead composting toilet, Shower sump with overboard, finished in high gloss polyurethane coating for easy clean up.
INTERIOR (Aft cabin)
General: Varnished trim. Painted floor on lightweight honeycomb panels in accommodation spaces. Bulkheads and most cabinet work are made from balsa cored panels surfaced with glass/epoxy and polyurethane painted bulkheads and overhead.
Aft Cabin: Large double berth. Storage locker, dresser with (3) drawers, counter with laminate top. Cubbies port and stbd for personal gear etc Reading lights for berth. (1) Lewmar #30 and (2) # 30 hatches for light and ventilation. (1) opening Lewmar port.
Aft Head Polished Scandvik SS sink with combination hot and cold faucet. Vanity with laminate top and stowage under. Large portlight and cabinet over sink. Blakes "Lavac" marine toilet,"Y" valve for overboard discharge or to 20 gal tank. Lewmar #10 deck hatch.
Transom: Easy boarding steps built into transom. Rudder mounted step to enable climbing out of water.
