Exciting- new listing.

Even the original 1929 brochure for this triple cockpit classic Chris-Craft is (also)  in show condition and states that:

“This is a smart, sturdy, easily-handled boat for general family service.  Every member of the family, young or old, will share its joys and health-building properties…This runabout is built of selected mahogany of highest grade and utmost beauty of grain.  Finished to rival exquisitely polished furniture, it is a delight to look upon as well as to ride in.  A perfectly appointed craft, it is instantly and permanently a source of pride to every owner.  The most experienced boat critics find it flawless – a superb example of craftsmanship.  Seats for ten are luxurious, deeply cushioned and beautifully upholstered…”

Recent, extensive restoration work was done by Ned Crosby of E.M.Crosby Boatworks.  A new bottom, in as close to the original construction as reasonable, was installed.  This was double-plank construction using mahogany plywood diagonals and solid mahogany longitudinal planks, bonded with West System’s Pro-Set epoxy.  The hull was strengthened to accommodate  re-powering with Crusader 305 engine with fresh water cooling system.  The original Chrysler LM engine, with serial number matching the original order sheet, is included in the sale.  The upholstery is all new leather and the existing hardware has all been re-chromed.  The boat comes with the trailer and the mooring covers.

Price reduction…this collectible Chris-Craft is now offered at $79,500.
