Okay, we understand and appreciate your sense of nostalgia. These old boats just have a look that many of us love. The view and air on the bridge is unparalleled. The lower station is functional and a joy in poor weather. The bench seat on the bow will accommodate a half dozen and may be the best ride going. That sweet sound that only original Chris Craft mufflers can produce. The bullet proof hulls that will outlast their owners.
Unfortunately for many of us admirers practicality sets in when we say I love these old boats but I don't want to depend on 35 year old equipment. This is where Tiki Lau is special. First, her history is always local freshwater use. Secondly, starting in 1999 her prior two owners began making extensive improvements which I'll list below:
New out of the box 365 hp fuel injected Pleasurecraft Marine SeaMaxx engines
New Pleasurecraft Marine Seamaxx transmissions
New Westerbeke 8.5 KW generator
New Ocean Breeze Marine heat/air systems w/digital controls
New Galley appliances
New Ceramic tile countertops, galley and heads
New Carpet in staterooms
New Parquet sole in galley & salon
New Hydraulic steering system
New Canvas, oversized bridge bimini and full aft deck enclosure
New Headliner and cushions
New Electronics including Furuno radar, Garmin gps map, Autohelm speedlogs, Standard Horizon VHF radios, stereos in & out
New Raritan crown heads and Purasan sanitation system
New Simpson Lawrence freefall windlass and custom bow pulpit
New Furniture inside and out
New Spare props
The list goes on, but you get the picture. Total receipts in excess of $40,000.
Tiki Lau was purchased by one of our brokers several years ago when the prior owner "traded down" to a newer Carver motoryacht. She is now being offered for sale. All offers and trades considered.
