If you are looking for a rare boat that turns heads ââ¬â this Chris-Craft 56 is it. NEW CARPET IN SALON
Christened ââ¬ÅQueen of the Fleetââ¬Å as the flagship of the 1957 lineup of Chris Craft offerings, this 56ft 9in ââ¬ÅSalon Motor Yachtââ¬ï¿½ was one of only seven built (one of her sisters was reportedly once owned by Dean Martin) and she is one of the last (could be the last) of her kind still afloat.
Built in the final years of Christ Craftââ¬â¢s all wood construction she was designed for elegant entertaining in a spacious windowed solon (this one with a 66 key Tom Thumb piano ââ¬â optional) and covered aft deck while managed by a professional crew from the forward crew quarters. She has a master state room, guest room and crew quarters with three upgraded heads and a galley redesigned (Viking stove and full size refrigerator) for her one time service as a dinner cruiser. She has numerous upgrades from her past two owners and she just had all hull concerns restored from keel to deck line (ask broker see full list of upgrades and restorations). She is powered by two replacement 240 hp Cummins 555 diesels with less than 900 hrs of service.
With her structural work recently restored she needs only cosmetics to be a prize winner at your favorite antique and classic boat show.
With potential as a charter, a floating B&B, an elegant condo or simply a prestigious historic motor cruiser for the skipper who prefers distinction in yachts.
She has been mechanically maintained weekly by Dockcall from Annapolis and has been housed in a covered shed at Hartge Yacht Harbor in Galesville, MD.
Refined and tasteful this elegant Solon Yacht speaks of a bygone era of historic Chris Craft design and classic wooden craftsmanship.
