1987 Chris-Craft 42 Tournament Fisherman

An updated version of the popular Chris-Craft 42 Tournament Fisherman (1975-77), the durable 422 Commander has stood the test of time. It is a comfortable fit for offshore anglers and family cruisers alike. There's much to like about this boat! Its styling was leading edge for her era, and the current owner has made many mechanical, aesthetic and convenient, custom updates. The engine room has all new wiring and two rebuilt engines AND is SPOTLESS!!! The vessel's entry door is spectacular wood and beveled glass, the galley has a new parquet floor and there's a Central Vac for easy clean ups! The Commander's versatile two-stateroom interior features a roomy owner's suite with island berth (and vanity sink), a large double-entry head with full-size shower. The side stateroom has two twin berths with plenty of storage of a locker and 7 storage drawers. There is a convenient breakfast bar in the salon that overlooks a U-shaped galley with copious counter and storage space. Removable hatches in the salon provide convenient access to the engines. The 422's roomy fishing cockpit, complete with two in-deck fish boxes, transom door, teak cover boards, coaming pads, and washdowns, ranks among the biggest in her class. Topside has two captain's chairs and an L-shaped bench on the large flybridge providing seating for a small crowd. Built on a solid fiberglass hull with a wide 14-foot beam, the 422 Commander is well known for a comfortable ride. She'll cruise at 22 knots with standard 450 hp GM 6-71T| diesels (26-28 knots top)
