A Classic 44' Cheoy Lee Aft Cockpit Ketch
The Gypsy Song is a beautiful example of the sturdy blue water cruising sailboats manufactured in the 1970s and 1980s. She is strong, yet sleek with the ultimate sailboat look and essence. She is a comfortable live-aboard vessel with the equipment and systems necessary for a long-term blue water or coastal cruise. Her owners (both present and past) have been meticulous in her upkeep and maintenance as well as her continuous upgrades and outfitting.
This Cheoy Lee " Gypsy Song" is a self-sustaining vessel, which allows for significant flexibility when cruising. The current owners used the Marathon, Fl Boot Key Harbor mooring field as their home base for over six years. During that time, the Gypsy Song was able to self-generate all its own power through solar, wind and a gas generator. Additionally, this Cheoy Lee sailboat is outfitted with a Spectra watermaker. The power system was designed to provide sufficient living power (including the operation of a refrigerator and a freezer) as well as enough power to regularly operate the watermaker. The large storage capacity on board provides plenty of room for provisioning for long and short cruises.
An out-of-water survey was completed in April 2017 for insurance purposes. No significant mechanical or structural issues were identified by the surveyor. The Gypsy Song was appraised at $100,000. There is NO storm damage from either Matthew or Irma. During both these storms, the Gypsy Song was berthed in Brunswick, GA.
Please take a few minutes to review her complete specifications, We feel you will agree she offers a lot of "bang for the buck". Sellers are both realistic and motivated!
