Overview
The Chaparral 243 VRX is a versatile and innovative jet boat designed with wake surfing and wakeboarding enthusiasts in mind. It features the capacity to add up to 1,350 pounds of ballast, a stern staging area, an elevated toe point, and the award-winning aerial surf platform that has no moving parts, allowing for precise wake customization. A standout feature of this model is its twin 250 horsepower Rotax Fortech engines, which are managed by the new Intelligent Shift and Throttle (IST) fly-by-wire system, replacing traditional control cables with electronic actuators for smoother and more responsive operation.
Power and Performance
During testing, the Chaparral 243 VRX demonstrated excellent handling and performance characteristics. At idle speeds, the boat maintains straight tracking with sufficient thrust.
