This unusual custom built power cat is located in Massachusetts.
Built at Blount Boats in Warren RI, she was designed and built for Luther Blount himself.
A composite hull construction includes a metallic skeletal frame of truss-like configuration providing a solid footing for the deck above the pontoons. With a small cabin installed forward of the helm, the huge deck area can be left as is, or customized for just about any boating application.
The hulls are foam filled making her practically unsinkable. As with any Blount boat safety and stability are built in.
Originally designed with 2 engines capable of pushing her upwards of 50 knots, she now sports a Force 50 more applicable for diving, harbor touring, or just inviting large numbers of friends out for the day.
New covered enclosure just installed January 2016
Comes with a 12' dinghy and 15 hp Mariner outboard
Consider taking her to a waterfront jazz festival or similar event and you will find friends you didn't know you had.
She was originally designed with a helm and seats astern as you can see in some of the blue prints (full plans available), she has now been customized as more of a pontoon boat than a power cat, with a little cabin with head and cuddy style sleeping quarters.
There was also a patent issued on this build, and those details are available if they are of interest.
She is currently owned by a canvas maker and there are a number of pieces made specifically for this boat that are available.
