Really clean, turn key pocket cruiser that's been owned by the same caring owner for many years.  This is one of the best we've seen with newer engine and trailer that has never seen salt water.  Unfortunately the owners health has forced the sale of this very nice boat.

Pros

Trailerable Design: The Catalina 250’s retractable keel allows for easy trailering and launching, making it ideal for sailors who want to explore different waters without being limited to a single location.

Spacious Interior: For a 25-foot boat, it offers a surprisingly roomy cabin with comfortable sleeping accommodations for four, a functional galley, and a decent head, making weekend cruising enjoyable.

Stable and Easy to Sail: The boat’s design provides good stability and straightforward handling, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced sailors.

Good Build Quality: Catalina Yachts is known for solid construction, and the 2001 model benefits from durable materials and quality craftsmanship.

Affordable Maintenance: Compared to larger yachts, upkeep and dockage costs tend to be more manageable.

Cons

Performance Limitations: While stable, the Catalina 250 is not designed for racing or high-speed sailing; its performance can be sluggish in light winds.

Limited Headroom: The cabin headroom is somewhat restricted, which may be uncomfortable for taller individuals during extended stays below deck.

Basic Interior Finish: The interior, while functional, is relatively simple and may feel dated compared to more modern designs.

Limited Storage Space: Storage areas can be tight, requiring efficient organization for longer trips.

Keel Mechanism Maintenance: The swing keel system requires regular inspection and maintenance to ensure reliable operation and prevent issues.
