This 2007 Catalina 22 Mark II wing keel is a new arrival, and an excellent package. The boat has been fresh water sailed, and is fully, and nicely equipped. It comes with a roller furling system, mainsail, and 150 % furling genoa, and self tailing primary winches. The list of extra features is complete. Cockpit cushions, Pop-top w/ enclosure, an interior stow away galley, (pictured) mast carriers front and rear, lines, fenders, and more. The boat has been maintained to an exacting level, and it shows. Maintenance records are complete and detailed. When you look for a used trailerable sailboat, this is what you are looking for.
The Catalina 22 Mark II is the same hull design as the standard Catalina 22, of which more boats have been sold than any other hull design in the world. This means the boat points very high, is very fast and stable and has a weather helm design. The boat sails proficiently & comfortably in both light and heavy winds and is very forgiving if you blow a tack. The Mark II is designed as a cruiser. The hull is a full 8" wider at the beam (8'-4") than the standard design. This gives a larger more comfortable cockpit and cabin, with more sleeping room. 2 adults and 2 children can sleep & sail comfortably. The boom is overhead when you stand in the cockpit and the main traveler is on the transom. This creates a very large area for maneuvering while tacking and jibing. The hull is just under 24' long and 19'-4" at the waterline. With a wing keel of over 700 lbs, it has a draft of only 2'-6". This means you can anchor in very shallow water and never have to crank the keel. The boat is trailerable at a very low height off the road, which means it is not top heavy and very maneuverable.
