The Cascade 36 Sloop is a legend in the Pacific Northwest, known as a tough, seaworthy sailing vessel that can cross oceans in the worst of conditions, or sail in light air with little effort.
These boats are hand built by Yacht Constructors in Oregon, and are truly bullet proof! ( they tested it) The boat is SOLID fiberglass, made with woven roving and fiberglass cloth then hand rolled and squeegeed to reduce the amount of resin in the hull to 50% instead of the normal 70% which makes the boat less brittle and much stronger.
The Cascade 36 was built for voyaging and is excellent for single handing, due to the cockpit layout.
Najimi is a 3 owner boat that started life racing on the Great Lakes until she was sailed to Florida. Since then she has been lovingly maintained and sailed by her knowledgeable current owners. She has a rebuilt Westerbeke 491 with low hours, newer sails including a spinaker, newer standing rigging with Norseman fittings, Hydraulic Steering, NEW Canvas and New Cockpit Cushions.
