The Carver 42 Motor Yacht was one of the most popular motor yachts of the '80's and early '90's. As soon as you step on board you’ll note that she’s a large yacht. The aft deck features a wet bar with ice maker, refrigerator and bottle storage and has room to entertain a small crowd. Just a few steps up is the large bridge with plenty of  seating and excellent visibility. The aft deck wing doors open to side decks large enough to run up to the huge foredeck. A windlass and fender racks help make docking and anchoring a snap. A few steps down from the aft deck is the enormous main salon featuring a large L-shaped convertible settee lounge and barrel chair, built-in entertainment center and another wet bar! The galley down is huge featuring all the requirements the chef would need including a full-sized refrigerator and freezer and an abundance of storage. To port is a large U-shaped dinette with seating for six, which converts to sleep 2. Continuing forward you’ll find a huge guest cabin with an offset double berth and ensuite head with separate shower stall. When you walk back to the aft cabin you’ll think you’ve entered a small hotel room! There you’ll find the centerline walk-around queen berth, a make-up vanity to one side, with a full head and separate shower compartment to the other. Surrounding the cabin is a plethora of storage lockers. Cabin lighting throughout the entire yacht will never leave you in the dark. This 42 was fitted with twin Caterpillar diesel engines which means she’s not as sluggish as the gasoline powered versions and will cruise along at a very comfortable 18+ knots.
