Plenty of space on this 40 footerÃ? - as a live-aboard or Keys/Bahamas cruiser.Ã? Ã?Â
A great example of Carver's popular cockpit motoryachts. This is a very roomy boat for its size. There are two good size staterooms and 2 heads. There is a large galley with adjacent dinette plus a comfortable salon for entertaining. The area outside the bridge is totally enclosed with good seating. Moving aft, the sub-deck is also totally enclosed and has the optional wing doors which make it really comfortable on windy days. Down three steps and you're in the cockpit, a great place to handle lines from, or fish.
Low hours for its age: If you are in the market for a well maintained 2- cabin/2- head hideaway at a very appealing price...come take a look. This boat is equipped with the preferred and more reliable Crusader Engines with about 1000 hours.  The electronics include Garmin 721 Color GPS Plotter, Autopilot and 2- VHF Radios and there's a very Low Hour Kohler Generator (7.3 kw) for house power when you are away from your slip. The Radar is original, but not functioning.
The Sundeck has a Sink & Icemaker and the Galley has a larger volume refrigerator/freezer for plenty of food capacity. The 4-person cafe style dinette is a flexible feature for dining and socializing.
The Master/Aft Cabin has a Stall Shower and both heads have Vac-u-Flush toilets.  The glass door walk-out to the cockpit area serves as a comfortable patio and landing area next to an extra deep swimstep, making this boat multi-functional for fishing, diving, cruising or just hanging out and watching the world go by.
Plenty of Horsepower and the Propulsion is Direct Drive which is much simpler and more trouble-free than V-Drives or Outdrives.  Cruises at 17 knots/3600 RPM.
Subdeck has Full Enclosure with Hard Side Doors...a feature not found on many sundeck aft cabin models.  What's the big deal? Without the hard enclosure, you won't find a year round use very comfortable as in "cold & wet".  With the upgraded enclosure, the floor plan is functionally much larger than without it.
Note on Engine Hours: Actual time is 916 hours on the port and 1083 on the starboard engine as of this posting; it is unknown why there is 160+ difference in the runtimes.
An Overall Excellent Design for a live aboard couple, an entry level buyer or a ââ?¬Å?great-looperââ?¬ï¿½.
