POWERBOAT GUIDE DESCRIPTION: The Carver 390 Cockpit Motor Yacht (called the 400 Cockpit MY in 1996-98 and the 404 Cockpit MY in 1999-2003) is basically a Carver 355/356 Motor Yacht with a cockpit. Hull construction is solid fiberglass, and the galley-down interior is tastefully finished with teak or cherry wood accents, Corian counters, and Ultra-Leather seating. Wraparound windows provide plenty of natural lighting in the salon which came with a convertible sofa to port, barrel chair and entertainment center opposite, and mid-level dinette forward. The galley features a full-size refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave. The aft stateroom has a tapered queen berth, built-in TV, and private head with separate stall shower. An offset double berth is in forward stateroom with private access to the day head. A lower helm was optional for northern boaters. The cockpit, with in-deck storage lazarette and transom door, can be accessed through a sliding glass door in the master stateroom or a ladder from the aft deck. A bow pulpit, aft deck wet bar, hardtop, and swim platform were standard.
