Accommodations
The Carver 406 Aft Cabin Motoryacht is a well-designed vessel known for its spacious and luxurious interior, ideal for cruising and extended stays. The main salon, accessible through the sliding glass door from the aft deck, serves as the heart of the yacht, offering a spacious and comfortable living area. SERENITY features an L-shaped convertible sleeper sofa on one side, and single bucket chair on the opposite side. The entertainment center includes a TV with KVH TracVision satellite system, stereo system, and cabinetry for storage. Large salon windows provide abundant natural light and views, with blinds for privacy. Her sole is fully carpeted with lovely accent area rugs to personalize the space.
Forward and a step down from the salon is the galley, equipped with a full-size refrigerator/freezer, 3 burner electric stove with oven, microwave, and a deep Corian sink. The galley offers ample counter space with a wraparound design for food prep and serving, along with overhead and under-counter cabinets for utensils, cookware, and provisions. Adjacent to the galley, is the U-shaped dinette with seating. The table can drop to form an additional berth, with storage compartments beneath the seating. The galley and dinette are both open to the salon above making for a cohesive and conversational, open concept living space.
The forward stateroom features an offset berth with storage underneath, hanging lockers, drawers, and overhead cabinets. Overhead lights and reading lamps, along with an overhead hatch, provide both natural and artificial lighting. The forward head is a combination guest and day head with access from the forward stateroom and galley area. It includes a marine head, a vanity with a sink and storage below, and shower capabilities.
The aft master stateroom boasts a full-size island queen berth with walk-around space. It includes two large hanging lockers, multiple drawers, and cabinets for storage. Large windows and a transom window provide natural light, with overhead lights and reading lamps for illumination. The en-suite head features a separate shower stall, toilet, and vanity with generous storage and counter space.
The aft deck is accessible via molded steps from the swim platform and side decks. It is fully enclosed with a hardtop and isinglass curtains for protection against the weather. Amenities include a wet bar with Raritan ice maker, and seating area with a wicker loveseat and table. The bridge, accessed by steps from the aft deck to port and starboard, houses the helm station with instrumentation and electronics. Surrounding the helm is cushioned bench seating for guests, offering panoramic views ideal for navigation and sightseeing. The entire flybridge and aft deck is fully covered with a custom hardtop above the helm area and standard enclosure for aft deck area. This exterior space is fully encloseable making for a comfortable outdoor area in any weather conditions. Accessed through clear-plexi side doors, the side side decks provide safe movement, with sturdy rails leading to the bow area, which features an anchor locker with Rocna 25 anchor (55lbs with 200' all chain rode) and fresh/salt water wash down.
Mechanical/Electrical
The engine room, accessed via hatches in the salon floor, contains twin Cummins engines, generator, batteries, and mechanical equipment. In the Spring of 2023 the intercooler, transmission cooler, heat exchanger and turbo were all serviced.
