OWNER SAYS SELL HER, ACCEPTING ALL OFFERS! OVERVIEW: The Carver 396 Motor Yacht is a VACATION DREAM! The word spacious does not do the yacht design justice. The full beam main saloon with double tiered windows is bright and open.
There are cherry cabinet and trim throughout as well as "Ultra Leather." The Volvo 365HP engines and the Onan 12Kw generator are significant upgrades. Two queen walk around island birth stateroom each have separate showers and private heads. The fully enclosed fly bridge and aft cockpit provide all season comfort for entertaining or relaxing. This is truly a striking and spacious floating condo.
SALON: The full beam salon is huge and features ultra leather seating and recliners for over 10 people. The 6'10" headroom and cherry woodwork is impressive. A flat screen TV/DVD player and CD player is present along with a solid wood table that extends up and forward for more convenient use.
STATEROOMS: Both staterooms have queen "island" walk around beds and private access to separate showers and private heads. There are three cedar lined closets and lots of storage. Cherry cabinets and solid surface counter tops are abundant.
GALLEY: Although compact, the galley can be used to prepare full course meals with the microwave that features convection/grill/roast modes. There is range top, Norwood Refrigerator, stovetop and built in coffee maker. The solid surface counter and cherry cabinets are impressive.
FLY BRIDGE/COCKPIT: There is a fully enclosed fly bridge and aft cockpit with all new blue canvas (not shown) and isinglass. The aft cockpit has wing doors and a hardtop. Seating for 6 is available on the wrap around seating. For entertaining a bar and icemaker is present.
STRUCTURAL: The hull bottoms are solid fiberglass with Knytex Substrates and a fiberglass stringer system. Carver introduced this "no wood" below the waterline concept in the 2000 Carver 396 model.
DATA: 40'7" LOA, 13'11" beam, 3'6" draft, 29,500 pound displacement, 330 gallon fuel capacity, 120 gallon fresh water tank, 87 gallon holding tank capacity.
PROPULSION: The twin Volvo Penta 365HP engines are an upgrade over the standard horizon engines. They have 450 hours of operation. The Onan 12KW generator is also an upgrade over the more common 8 - 10KW systems.
OPTIONS INCLUDE: Electric Windless with all chain rode, Radar by Ratheon, Depth Sounder, Vacu Flush Marine heads, three air conditioners with reverse cycle heat. Trim Tabs, bridge bar with ice maker, electrical search light with remote control, 3 carbon monoxide detectors, auto fire retardation system, five deep cycle marine batteries with two chargers. Two 50' 50 Amp Shore power heavy duty cables and 30 amp adapters, tilt steering, VHF radio.
