Accommodations are comfortable and functional, from the forward stateroom to the navigator's area.

"Starlight" was built to the very highest standards by Cape Dory Yachts. Naval Architect Carl Alberg has incorporated into this sturdy sloop both seaworthiness and ample interior space that offers steady and comfortable cruising. She is a two-owner yacht, which is quite a testimony to everything that IS A CAPE DORY YACHT!! Whether offshore or in the bay, cruising in a Cape Dory 33 means cruising comfortably in a boat that offers pride of ownership as well as lasting value.
"Starlight" is a masthead sloop with powerful lines and is easily driven, responsive, and stable. Cape Dory has consistently built boats of enviable quality and proven design. This boat has withstood the relentless tests of sea and time. Cape Dory Yachts built this yacht with hand laid-up fiberglass hull, molded fiberglass deck with �½" balsa-core, teak exterior trim on cap rails, coamings, hatch trim, etc., and a large self-bailing cockpit with 32" pedestal wheel steering. The hull below the waterline shows a fine entry with a long cutaway forefoot followed by an efficient full keel and offers ease of handling and lively performance. She has a spooned raked stem, a raised counter transom, and a keel-mounted rudder controlled by a wheel, making this design a powerful windward sailor.
Our first "upgrade" to Starlight was the addition of a Monitor wind vain and solar panels. Then came the wind generator and many other items to make cruising and living aboard comfortable. We have lived aboard for most of the last 15 years. New Sails and a Watermaker were purchased as part of a major refit in 2015 just in time for our second 3 month trip to the Bahamas. We recently hauled out and replaced all of the Seacocks and Hoses below the waterline. The bottom was sanded down to the gel coat, and a fresh barrier coat and bottom paint were applied. We planned another 3 months in the Bahamas but had to simplify to 6 months in Boot Key Harbor as Covid closures prevented crossing. Job opportunities away from the sea have made it time to sell our beloved home. Ã?Â
