This two owner fresh water yacht is a true sailing gem.

Sailing performance is the ultimate goal. The hull shape is a development of the proven, race winning C&C 40, Custom 39, and Custom 41. A powerful rig and high stability promise speed and control over a wide range of wind speed and direction. The under water volume is carried well forward and reduces the yachts tendency to bury the bow when heavily pressed. Rudder and keel foils are highly efficient and balanced with rig and hull, using the most advanced computer analysis.  The reduced 6' draft keel/bulb configuration (see page 4 for detailed explanation) has not noticeably affected performance. In fact, on some points of sails Jubilee seems to perform better! Jubilee is a very clean and well-kept example of one of the best racer/cruiser designs of all time. As one of the last C&C 41s built, she incorporates many of the design improvements that came about including the enclosed aft cabin. Jubilee has enjoyed a constant program of regular maintenance and upgrading by a knowledgeable owner that spared no expense to keep her in top shape. She is a ruggedly built performance cruiser, ready to take you anywhere, and do it quickly in comfort and style.

The Biggest Pros and Cons

The 1987 C&C 41 is a well-regarded sailboat known for its combination of performance and comfort. Here are some of the key pros and cons of this classic cruiser-racer:

Pros

Performance-Oriented Design: The C&C 41 offers excellent sailing performance, with a sleek hull and efficient sail plan that make it responsive and fast, especially in moderate to strong winds.

Solid Construction: Built with quality materials and craftsmanship, the 1987 model features a sturdy fiberglass hull and a reliable keel design, contributing to durability and seaworthiness.

Spacious Interior: For a boat of its size, the C&C 41 provides a comfortable and well-appointed interior, including multiple cabins, a functional galley, and ample storage space, making it suitable for extended cruising.

Good Handling: The boat’s balanced helm and well-tuned rigging make it relatively easy to handle for experienced sailors, whether racing or cruising.

Reputation and Support: As a product of the respected C&C Yachts brand, the 41 benefits from a strong community of owners and access to parts and knowledge.

Cons

Maintenance Requirements: Like many older performance cruisers, the 1987 C&C 41 may require ongoing maintenance and occasional upgrades to systems such as electrical, plumbing, and rigging to keep it in prime condition.

Limited Interior Headroom: While spacious, the cabin headroom may feel somewhat limited for taller individuals, which can affect comfort during extended stays aboard.

Draft Considerations: The deeper keel options available on some models can restrict access to shallow anchorages and marinas.

Outdated Systems: Some onboard systems, such as navigation electronics and amenities, may be dated or less efficient compared to modern standards, potentially necessitating upgrades.

Cost of Ownership: Being a performance cruiser with quality components, upkeep and mooring can be more costly compared to simpler cruising sailboats.
