 "Khando" Formerly "SIR TOM" was Built in 1939 for Bud Harris at the Campbell Shipyard in Holland, Mi. This Beautiful Classic Sailing Yacht was Designed by John G. Alden and has Undergone a TOTAL RESTORATION of both HULL and INTERIOR. Attention and Detail were given to using Modern Materials while Retaining the Classic Traditional Style of this Boat. The Restoration was Completed in 2 Phases over a 15 Year Period. Her Construction is Mahogany Planks on White Oak Frames with Full Rudder/Tiller and 6,900 lbs. of Iron Ballast. During Restoration She Received Many NEW Laminated Ribs, New Planks,Cabin Top and Deck. The Cockpit and Main Bulkheads were Rebuilt using Mahogany and Marine Grade Plywood. The Rebuilt Interior Utilized the Original Layout with ONLY MINOR Changes. The Hull is FULLY Lined with Cypress, White Bulkheads are Trimmed in Mahogany. The Galley Area and Ice Box/Refrigeration are also trimmed in Mahogany and have Copper Surfaces. A NEW Westerbeke 44A4 Diesel Engine was installed along  with All New Wiring and Electronics. In 2003 the Standing Rigging was Replaced and 2004 The Restoration was complete with a Bow Pulpit and Lifelines. The Boat was used for only 2 Seasons and is now on the Market LOOKING for A LOVING OWNER. SHE IS A REAL CLASSIC and READY TO SAIL
