The Calkins 50 has the elegance and beauty of yachts built at the turn of the century, yet was 30 years ahead of its time when introduced. An ultra-lite, canoe body with short over-hangs, fin keel and monocoupe construction.
When a very successful yacht designer bought one for himself, I asked him why? He said "it does everything well"
I personally have never been able to walk by one without stopping to admire the design.
A new copy today would cost $1.5 mil or more!
The last three that sold, went for $134K, $100K and $200K. Owned by 2 marine professionals, she is in excellent condition and is offered at $99K
