Overview
The Cabo 41 is the latest model in Cabo's express-style sport fisherman line, renowned for its fishability and offshore capabilities. Designed to blend the functionality of a blue water sport fishing vessel with the comforts of a luxury yacht, the Cabo 41 offers a versatile platform suitable for serious anglers as well as family outings and evening cruises.
Exterior Design and Cockpit
The aft cockpit serves as the central hub for fishing activity and entertainment. It features a spacious layout with welded launchers along the cockpit arch and ladders leading to the tuna tower, complemented by additional rod holders integrated into the cap rails. The outriggers are cleverly routed through the gunnels just above the tuna tower ladders. Gunnel height measures two feet on the sides and slightly higher at two feet, two inches at the transom. The cockpit includes an aft-facing mezzanine bench seat that lifts to reveal a bait freezer, while insulated, drainable deck lockers flank either side. A 48-gallon bait tank is molded into the transom, and fresh and raw water washdown spigots are conveniently located beneath the port gunnels. Scuppers on the quarters ensure efficient drainage, and the starboard transom door opens outward, equipped with a grab handle and two built-in steps for easy water re-entry. The dive door at the transom measures eight inches from the waterline to its bottom.
Helm Deck and Command Center
Forward of the cockpit is the helm deck, designed as both a command station and social area. To port, an L-shaped settee provides comfortable seating, while twin helm chairs on the test boat swivel to join guests; an optional third helm chair is also available. Seating can be removed to access storage compartments that include two fire extinguishers. Behind the companion chair, built-in cabinetry and counter space cascade down to a tackle center with three drawers, additional cabinet and drawer storage, and a refrigeration unit. Two more drawers are located beneath the companion seat. The companionway to the cabin below is positioned just starboard of the helm, featuring a 12-inch grab rail and a flip safety latch to prevent slamming in rough seas.
Interior Living Spaces
Below deck, the salon and galley form the social heart of the vessel. The salon includes an L-shaped settee with an optional dining table and an open storage cabinet. The space is well-lit with recessed and overhead lighting, measuring approximately seven feet, four inches wide by an average of four and a half feet in length. Air conditioning vents run along the starboard side, and entertainment is provided by a 32-inch television and sound bar with a shelf below. Under the companionway is a small storage area that also serves as mechanical access. The galley is arranged in an L-shape opposite the settee, featuring Corian countertops and finely finished cabinetry and drawers. Appliances include a microwave mounted above a twin burner electric stove, a sink in the port corner, and two refrigeration drawers beneath the counters.
Private Accommodations
The master stateroom is located forward and features a center-mounted island berth accessible via steps on either side. Storage is ample, with cedar-lined hanging closets on both port and starboard sides, shelving adjacent to the berth, and drawers and a cabinet beneath the foot of the bed. The head is situated behind the galley and includes a sink with basin beneath a lighted mirror, an electric flush toilet, and a stand-up shower enclosed with a glass door.
