When it comes to designing new sportfishing models, some builders make compromises in order to have the finished product appeal to a more mainstream audience. That's not the case at CABO. Industry experts have hailed our 40 Express as the ultimate sportfisher, featuring a war chest of big-game angling equipment as well as a highly livable interior suitable for long, comfortable stays on board. The handcrafted teak woodwork throughout the boat is on par with what you'd find in the finest custom home, superbly joined and finished in a satin varnish. Space below deck offers comfort and room to relax at day's end with a starboard settee that comfortably seats six and converts to an upper and lower berth, teak and holly sole, AC/heat, infloor storage compartment, recessed halogen lighting and the finest fabrics and coverings throughout. The master stateroom features a large island double berth with ample drawer and locker storage below, AC/heat, access to anchor rope/chain locker, foredeck hatch with retractable shade, recessed halogen lighting and a custom flat screen TV (AC) built in with cable hook up. You can stow 10 rods in lockers located port and starboard, and the cedar lined hanging closet offers additional storage.
Accommodations
This extremely well equipped CABO 40 Express can accommodate 4 owners and guests, (2) in the private forward stateroom and (2) on the convertible L-shaped settee. The private forward stateroom includes a hanging locker, drawer and locker storage below the queen pedestal berth, and an LCD TV. Her expansive salon boasts teak & holly cabin sole, rod storage locker, under floor storage, and a 32" Sharp LCD TV. Opposite the settee, her large galley includes Corian counter tops, 2-burner cooktop, microwave/convection oven, separate refrigerator & freezer, large sink w/hot & cold pressure water, and ample storage. Aft of the galley to port is the large head that includes a Vacuflush toilet, vanity w/sink & mirror, separate stall shower, and more storage.
