BRUCE ROBERTS NORFOLK 43, PROFESSIONALLY BUILT BY OCEAN STAR MARINE, INTERIOR FINISHED BY LITTLE HARBOR MARINE & HINCKLEY IN PORTSMOUTH, RI. Not launched until 1998.

Sail anywhere with confidence aboard this rugged and strong ice-breaker! Repowered with a Yanmar diesel in 2007, and just went through a full restoration. This is a steel boat that was built right!

"Steal Away's" construction is as solid as it looks. She is properly insulated above the waterline and coated on both the interior and exterior. See photos for insulation and finishing, as well as contrsuction photos. From her stainless steel Samson posts to her oversized Maxwell windlass, she's built to withstand anything. Her in-mast Hood roller furling main makes her easy to sail, and her wind and solar power give her self-sufficiency. She is truly a special boat--there are many Bruce Roberts 43's on the market, but none that were built like this!

When you are shopping for steel boats, you will find many that were built in a backyard or built by novices. That is NOT the case with "Steal Away!" Built and finished by some of the most professional yards in the industry. There is not a spot of rust, as she has been coated and maintained properly. Thick insulation above the waterline but not below.

This is truly a no-nonsense cruising boat designed to cross oceans--a far cry from the average fiberglass production boats seen today!
