About 300 of these boats were manufactured in the mid 1970's in Clearwater, Fl by Boca Grande Boats: a company started by Charlie Morgan (Morgan Sailboats) and Bruce Bidwell.
This 1974 Boca Grande 26 Passmaster center console has undergone a comprehensive, top-to-bottom restoration, beginning with a complete rebuild from the stringers up. The hull was reconstructed using advanced composite materials such as Coosa Board and/or Nidacore, providing exceptional strength while reducing weight. Coosa Board is a high-performance sheet material made from high-density polyurethane foam reinforced with woven roving and continuous strand fiberglass-it will not rot or absorb water, making it an ideal choice for long-term durability in a marine environment.
All fiberglass work was completed with high-quality 1708 biaxial cloth and mat where appropriate, ensuring strength and structural integrity throughout. The entire project utilized epoxy resins, resulting in a professionally finished painted hull rather than traditional gelcoat for enhanced longevity and appearance.
Beyond the structural rebuild, the boat has been fully modernized with all-new plumbing, fuel systems, and updated electronics. The electrical system has also been completely redone using marine-grade wiring throughout, ensuring safety and dependability on the water. It is powered by twin Suzuki 150hp outboard power, delivering reliable performance to match its like-new construction.
Included with the boat is a 2000 UTLO tandem axle trailer, outfitted with all new wheel bearings and new tires, making it ready for reliable transport.
The massive hardtop is home to ten rocket launchers, Lee outriggers, electronics box and built-in ladders on port and starboard side for access to hardtop for sight fishing and/or addition of a cobia tower.
