Some yachts are built for a single job. The 2023 Bluegame BG72, was built to do all of them well.

Bluegame created a category with the BG72, and this boat is the fully optioned expression of it. Founder and Italian Olympic sailor Luca Santella shaped the exterior, Lou Codega handled the naval architecture, and Zuccon International Project designed the interior and outdoor living spaces. The result is a true crossover yacht: a 74 foot 9 inch, three level platform with the seakeeping of a serious offshore boat, the deck space of something much larger, and Italian finish throughout.

She is a luxury motor yacht. She is a luxury day boat, with two Seabobs included. She is a dive boat, with an onboard Hookah system. She is even a sportfish, with a Release Marine fighting chair, a fishbox, and an ice chipper. Same boat, same morning, if you want.

Approach her at the dock and the proportions read like an 80 footer. The aft cockpit is the defining space: wide open, level with the water, ready for a fighting chair at the sandbar in the morning and a dinner table at anchor that evening. The hidden 500 kg crane launches toys in minutes, and the engine room hatch in the cockpit sole means service access is genuinely easy rather than theoretical.

Up the teak stairs, the upper cockpit is the social heart of the boat. A large sunpad with inclining backs, sofas to port and starboard, a teak table that unfolds into full alfresco dining, a drop down TV, and a complete outdoor galley with grill, cooktop, icemaker, refrigerator, and wet bar. Enclosed in Strataglass with air conditioning, it works in August heat and January wind alike. Wide side decks lead forward to a bow lounge that is a full living room of its own, with an electric rise and fall teak table and a sunpad.

Inside, the full beam saloon is warm, bright, and open, with large hullside windows, one way glass, and a convertible lift table. Forward, the galley is stylish and fully equipped with induction cooking, oven, dishwasher, and full size refrigeration. Below, three staterooms each have an ensuite head, including a forward owner's cabin with memory foam bedding and generous storage, and a guest cabin with sliding twins. A separate crew cabin forward with its own head keeps service invisible. The elevated pilothouse is all glass and all business, with triple Volvo Glass Cockpit 16 inch displays, Garmin radar, FLIR thermal imaging, AIS, and a three camera CCTV system.
