1985 BLUEWATER 51 COASTAL CRUISER
EXTENSIVELY REFITTED | REBUILT TWIN 454s | UPDATED TRANSMISSIONS | DIESEL GENERATOR | DUAL AIR CONDITIONING
This 1985 Bluewater 51 Coastal Cruiser represents an exceptional opportunity to own a spacious, extensively updated motor yacht with years of documented improvements already completed. Designed with an exceptionally wide interior, shallow draft, two private cabins, two heads, a large salon, a full galley, and an expansive flybridge, she is ideally suited for extended cruising, entertaining, or comfortable liveaboard use.
Rather than receiving only cosmetic updates, this Bluewater has undergone a comprehensive refit involving its exterior, interior, mechanical systems, climate control, electronics, plumbing, sanitation equipment, and onboard amenities.
The exterior refit included stripping and repainting the vessel, with work completed on the hull sides, walking decks, upper structure, flybridge, boot stripe, flybridge stripe, and nonskid surfaces. Additional exterior improvements include updated flybridge upholstery, a replacement flybridge cover and isinglass enclosure, new window film, updated deck lighting, stainless-steel air horns, and bottom paint reportedly completed approximately two years ago.
Inside, the master stateroom, forward V-berth, salon, and galley received extensive attention. Improvements include updated wall panels, replacement headliners, new flooring, refinished white cabinetry, custom cabinet doors, recovered countertops, updated mattresses, refreshed interior upholstery, and a foldout salon sofa. The galley was also refreshed with an updated sink, faucet, microwave, lighting, hardware, and improved storage.
Power is provided by twin rebuilt MerCruiser-style 454 gasoline inboard engines, reported at 500 horsepower each. The drivetrain was further upgraded with two ZF Hurth ZF68A 2.52:1 transmissions. A 12.5 kW diesel generator with its own separate fuel tank provides dependable power for the vessel's air-conditioning systems, galley equipment, and onboard amenities while away from the dock.
Climate control is provided by two Webasto FCF Platinum 16,000 BTU marine air-conditioning systems, delivering a combined 32,000 BTUs throughout the interior.
