"Cazadora" is truly A-One-Of-A-Kind legendary 38' Blackfin Convertible Sportfish! With her many upgrades and overall condition, she must be the finest 38' Convertible in existence! The 38' Blackfin's offshore capabilities and ride made her are arguably the best riding hull in rough conditions that were ever produced under forty feet. Now, with the addition of the custom spray rails and the Seakeeper, her offshore ride and while at rest, are truly phenomenal.
The previous owner, is the owner of the largest Cummins/Phasor & Seakeeper Authorized Factory Dealer/Service Center in Texas and she was the owner's personal vessel. Most of the recent mechanical upgrades were made by his facility, under his ownership and supervision. The current owners purchased her in 2020 and they are known for taking their boats to another level, and this one is no exception!
Her updates and upgrades are many and some are as follows:
Twin Cummins QSC8.3 600 Recon Diesel Engines with 600hp Each and approximately 600 Hours Since Installed. Local Cummins Dealer advises that they were New engines when they were installed, however Cummins advertises and sales them as Recon Engines, as they are only meant for re-power purposes and not to be sold and installed in brand new boats, as they don't meet the current EPA regulations for new boats. Entering the customized and updated salon, to starboard is a custom made settee with rod storage and abundant storage underneath. Across to port is custom made swivel barrel chair with storage drawer under. The settee and chair were custom ordered from a company in Florida that specializes in custom manufacturing of yacht/marine furniture. There is a Vizio 21" Salon TV. The L-Shaped galley is to port and forward and features custom solid surface counter-tops, stainless steel sink, microwave, Princess (2) burner electric/alcohol stove, stainless steel refrigerator with pull-out drawer (new 2023).
Moving forward from the salon and down a few steps is the companionway that features updated wall coverings. The spacious guest stateroom is to port and features criss-cross upper and lower twin berths and excellent storage. Across to starboard is the full private head compartment that features updated wall coverings, marine electric head, vanity with sink & storage, mirrored medicine cabinet and a separate shower compartment with a bench seat.
Moving all the way forward, is the master stateroom that features updated wall coverings, walk-around queen island berth, hanging locker, excellent storage and custom overhead rod/reel racks. (New Mattress and New Under Berth Storage 2023)
In 2023, the salon/galley areas were redesigned and also features custom woodwork, all new custom wood walls, valances and flooring. All other woodwork was refinished and there is a custom fabricated custom engine room access hatch. While moored, with this hatch up, it keeps the engine room cool and helps control the engine room humidity.
The reverse cycle A/C's have all been updated with (3) 16,000 BTU self contained units. A second one was added in the salon with a custom outlet vent. There are also new dim-able LED lights throughout the cabin. Salon windows dark tinted from the inside. Forward in the salon, the wall behind the galley, was custom fared and then was custom wrapped in white carbon fiber look wrap.
