68' Bill Lee Custom Racing Yachts '77 "Merlin"
Sail a legend. MERLIN was designed and built in 1977 to set the Los Angeles to Honolulu Race course record. Which she did in 8 days 11 hours, a record which was to last 20 years. She has had many upgrades over the years and in 2016 the keel was upgraded to a modern deep bulb keel. With that, a taller rig and a great crew, she beat her 40 year old record to Honolulu by 9 hours.
With the current blue paint and the larger deck-house, and bowsprit, she is almost unrecognizable from the 1977 original.
She is both fast and fun to sail.
