ALTHEA was built by Flye Point Marine in Brooklin Maine in 1988. In 1994, Duffy & Duffy and Flye Point Marine merged to become Atlantic Boat Company, a full-service boatyard known for their excellent service, quality craftmanship, and carrying on the tradition of high-quality Downeast boatbuilding.
This BHM 28' is the perfect example of well-loved Downeast flybridge pocket cruiser. ALTHEA is powered by an '88 VOLVO TAMD-41A engine with 2,240 hours. She has a full suite of 2020 SIMRAD electronics including a AIS, chartplotter/fish finder/depthsounder, radar, GPS and VHF. The open flybridge has custom canvas walls, a helm station and helm chair, a bench seat, and a 360° view. The Main Cabin has a helm station, custom helm chair, bench seats port (berth) and starboard, plenty of natural light, perfect for leisurely cruising. The spacious cockpit and has 4 Lee Rod Holders, and a custom raw water tank, perfect for the fishing enthusiast, two deck chairs and a table, and a custom swim platform that makes that dip in the water on a hot day, just what the Dr. ordered.
With the extensive upgrades (see listing ) and personal touches that these owners have put into the boat, ALTHEA makes a great pocket cruiser for couples. The current owners are selling to upsize for extended cruising.
