2003 Bertram 450 Convertible Boat in Coral Gables, FL 33114 US

Introduced in 1998 following the Ferretti Group's acquisition of Bertram Yachts, the 450 Convertible reflects the Italian styling influences common to all late-model Bertram products. Like her predecessors, the 450 is built on Bertram's signature deep-V hull with moderate beam and low cockpit freeboard.

The Ferretti influence is clearly evident in the 450's standard two-stateroom interior with its high-gloss woodwork and posh decor. The galley, with its unobtrusive under-counter refrigeration, is on the middle level in this layout, and side-by-side single berths-rather than over/under bunks-are found in the guest cabin. (Note that an optional three-stateroom, galley-up floorplan became available in 2005.)

While the salon dimensions are expansive, the cockpit is slightly smaller than competitive sportfishing yachts in this class. Topside, the U-shaped settee forward of the helm converts to a huge sun pad. Additional features include overhead rod storage and an elevated dinette in the salon, washer/dryer locker in the forward passageway, and a compact but well-arranged engine room.

Cruise in the mid 20s with 660hp Cat diesels (28-30 knots top). MAN 800hp engines cruise at 26-28 knots (30+ knots top).
