This Bennington 201FS is powered by a 2017 F200XB 4-stroke. Higher hours (2k+), but the engine is way strong. Perfect compression on the engine, 200 PSI on all cylinders, inspected by Yamaha Master Tech who also installed a brand new Yamaha Binnacle. This is one fast boat when you want it to be...ready to get you home before the storm arrives and will have no problem pulling water toys. After installing and testing the boat with this newer Yamaha, we were blown back by the speed. She is fast & sporty!
The 201FS is a Hybrid of sorts. It has the spacious layout of a Pontoon, yet gives you the performance of a fiberglass hull. She has a shallow draft, yet rides higher than similar brands. This Southwind is well-suited for fishing the local Intercoastal, bays, and backwater...and she can venture offshore on calm days. It has 2 Fishing Seats forward inside the rail, so small children can fish safely behind the fence. Just forward of the railing is a large open deck space that can be used for a Casting Platform or landing pad when Boarding from the water using the Swim Ladder( it has 2 Swim Ladders:1 Forward and 1 Aft). Plenty of room on the front deck to throw a cast net as well.
