She is powered by a single 425 hp Cummins QSB 6.7I with approx. 1136 well maintained hours and a Cummins-Onan 7.5 kw generator with approx. 463 well maintained hours use..
"PURE JOY" features bow and stern thrusters, updated electronics, new flybridge enclosure 2023. She has a large flybridge/sundeck with storage for her tender. Brand new Salon HVAC, Forward HVAC replaced 2023, Countertop Dishwasher and much more.The starboard side deck is flush with cabin and cockpit and her spacious aft cockpit can be fully enclosed.
"PURE JOY" has 2 private cabins and 1 head with shower. The main cabin has the galley to port and the lower helm is to starboard just forward of the salon which has 360 panoramic view. The 34 "Swift" Trawler (not really a trawler) earns her name with a top speed of 19 kts, cruise speed can be 16 kts at 1 mpg and at 8.1 kts at 2.2 gpm,where she is most economical to run.

I'm excited that you're interested in seeing and learning more about our Swift Trawler 34, "Pure Joy". We've had her for 2 seasons in the beautiful fresh waters of northern Michigan and loved the times we've spent aboard. Others in our marina community often remark how much time we spend on our boat, a testament to how much we enjoy the boat. We are always looking for an excuse to head out, either by ourselves to relax or with friends to share a good time together on the water.
After completing the Great Loop on another trawler we tried sailing but found that at our age we really missed the trawler lifestyle. The one part of trawler boating my wife hadn't enjoyed was the relative lack of speed, so when we saw that a Beneteau Swift Trawler lived up to her name with a top speed of 19 knots, we took notice. The large flybridge, the covered side deck with boarding gate, and the overall good looks of the 34 completed the picture, and we were blessed to find this boat in North Carolina. We could hardly be happier.
After purchasing "Pure Joy" in late 2024 we had her trucked up to Michigan, which was much easier and more efficient than doing a large portion of the Loop again. She now spends her time in fresh water during the season and in indoor heated storage in the winter. All service has been handled at the local boat shop where she is stored.
