What a great boat.  Freshwater sailed in Texas and Saskatchewan - yes Saskatchewan.  Wye Not is one of Beneteau's sought-after centre cockpit series ranging from 36-44'.  The hull and rig are the same as the Oceanis aft-cockpit models but the owner's cabin is substantially larger, more comfortable and more private.  The view from the centre cockpit is inspiring.  Wye Not  has been coddled and upgraded, so the new owner will have a very well-found yacht for their favourite playground.  Owner says the boat is a joy for single-handed sailing.  Built in France, Canadian duty paid.  Includes highway trailer, so hit the road!  Great Lakes, Lake Winnipeg, Lake of the Woods all beckon.

Pros

Spacious Center Cockpit Layout: The center cockpit provides excellent visibility and safety, as well as a roomy cockpit area that’s great for socializing and relaxing.

Comfortable Interior: The interior is well-designed with ample natural light, offering a bright and airy feel. It typically includes two cabins and a functional galley, making it suitable for extended cruising.

Good Sailing Performance: The Oceanis 36 CC handles well under sail, offering a balance between performance and ease of handling, which is ideal for cruising sailors.

Solid Build Quality: Built by Beneteau, the boat benefits from reputable craftsmanship and durable materials, contributing to its longevity.

Separate Navigation Station: The layout often includes a dedicated navigation station, which is a plus for serious cruisers.

Ample Storage: The design provides good storage solutions both below and on deck.

Cons

Center Cockpit Limits Cockpit Size: While the center cockpit offers safety and visibility, it can be smaller compared to aft cockpit designs, which some sailors may find less spacious for entertaining.

Windage: The higher freeboard and cabin profile typical of the center cockpit design can result in increased windage, which may affect handling in strong winds or tight marina maneuvers.

Age Considerations: Being a 2004 model, systems and equipment may require updating or maintenance depending on prior care.

Limited Performance for Racing: While good for cruising, the Oceanis 36 CC is not designed as a racing boat and may lag behind more performance-oriented designs under sail.

Engine Access: Some owners note that engine access can be somewhat restricted due to the layout, potentially complicating maintenance.
