"Banshee" is an excellent example of the Oceanis range of Beneteau cruising sailboats. The boat is a Beneteau 43 with the two-cabin, two-head configuration. She has the sought after 5� 5� shoal draft keel. The Beneteau 43 is no slouch in the sailing speed department. The Beneteau 43 carries a PHRF-Lake Erie handicap of 90 seconds per mile, which is the same as a J-105 racer. Under power one can expect up to 8.5 knots at full throttle (3,200 rpm). At 2,000 rpm, one can expect up to 6.5 knots. The owner upgraded the propeller to a three-bladed feathering propeller for higher speed under sail.
