The VR-6 features a beam-forward hull design that carries the beam well into the bow area, expanding from 5 feet 8 inches aft to 2 feet 9 inches at the foremost point. The bow area can be enhanced with an optional table for entertaining or converted into a sun pad using a filler cushion. Handling was notably responsive and stable, with no prop ventilation or sliding during aggressive maneuvers. Some chine walk was detected but was easily controlled by moderating power during turns. The boat’s 39-inch freeboard contributed to a dry ride, with smooth passage over self-generated waves and no discomfort or pounding experienced.
