1991 Bayliner 4588 Motoryacht "Knot on Call"
The Bayliner 4588 Motoryacht has earned a loyal following among Pacific Northwest boaters for good reason. Its protected pilothouse, spacious interior, enclosed flybridge, and generous storage make it particularly well suited to the year-round cruising conditions of the Pacific Northwest. "Knot on Call" is a well-equipped example with twin diesels and generator power as well as both bow and stern thrusters, and a hull extension as some of the thoughtful updates.
Powered by twin Hino W06D-TI 250hp diesel engines with approximately 2,800 hours, Knot on Call has the power and range to explore the Puget Sound and beyond. Both bow and stern thrusters have controls at the pilothouse and flybridge helms, making close-quarters maneuvering considerably easier. The boat was recently cruised from Foss Harbor in Tacoma to her current freshwater moorage in Ballard without issue.
The hull extension incorporates the extended swimstep and adds useful storage while housing the stern thruster. The flybridge and cockpit deck both have full enclosures in excellent condition, extending the usable living and entertaining space in typical Pacific Northwest weather. The flybridge extension / cockpit hardtop also features a crane davit and storage for the included 2004 Avon RIB tender with Tohatsu 30hp outboard.
Inside, the salon has a L-shaped couch to port and storage to starboard, while the galley has been updated with new countertops and is well equipped for extended stays aboard. Appliances include a Princess SeaWard 3-burner stove and oven with broiler, Sharp Carousel 850-watt microwave, Vitrifrigo DP2600 8.0-cubic-foot refrigerator/freezer, dual-basin stainless steel sink, and U-Line ice maker. New countertops continue throughout the main salon.
The pilothouse helm features a Garmin GPSMAP 4212 chartplotter, Datamarine depth and speed gauges, Si-Tex SP-80 autopilot, ICOM IC-M45 VHF, Cobra 19DXII CB radio, and searchlight, bow thruster, and stern thruster controls. The flybridge helm has an ICOM IC-M45 VHF, Cobra 19DXII CB radio, Datamarine depth gauge, and controls for the searchlight and both thrusters.
A Westerbeke 8.0BTDG14 diesel generator with 614 hours provides onboard power, while Espar D7L diesel heat keeps the interior comfortable during cooler-weather cruising.
